About
Catherine originally opened her law practice in Orillia, where she worked for two years before returning to Muskoka in 2017. She practices family law exclusively, assisting clients with a range of domestic contracts and in Court litigation, dealing with issues such as parenting, support, equalization, and other property claims. She is currently on both the Legal Aid Ontario Family Panel, and the Family Responsibility Office Panel.
Born and raised in Muskoka, Catherine gained an interest in law while completing a high school co-op placement with the local Crown Attorney's Office. She went on to earn an honours degree in Criminal Justice and Public Policy, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Guelph. Catherine attended law school at the University of Western Ontario where she gravitated towards family law. During her time at Western, Catherine sought out ways to contribute to the community, such as volunteering with Pro Bono Students Canada and London Lawyers Feed the Hungry, assisting with the Family Law Program, and working with high school students. She was actively involved in the law school's Community Legal Services clinic and also completed a Clerkship with the Ontario Court of Justice. During her time in Orillia, Catherine acted as a member of the Orillia Youth Opportunities Committee and lead of the associated Youth Homelessness Task Force.
Catherine spends much of her time off the clock with friends and family, riding horses, and playing with her two Rottweilers (Murphy & Taz).
